About the ceremony

Worshippers from Inari shrines throughout Japan visit Fushimi Inari Taisha to give thanks for protection and blessings. During the preceding Yoimiya-sai, thousands of lanterns illuminate the grounds and Mount Inari. The main festival includes prayers and cultural performances.
